Enjoyed the series and loved seeing that Landy doing what it does best.
Thanks Morris. Glad you enjoyed the journey. Cheers.
Great fun! 👍
Lot's of comments about lockers etc. Please remember This vehicle is at least forty years old if not fifty or sixty years old. Lockers weren't a thing back then and in Africa they would be a luxury even on a 70 series. best thing to do is lower your tyre pressures
Enjoyed the series mate didn’t see any kangaroos hopping around 🦘.
This water looks amazing. I must paddle it! 😎
We highly recommend this trip. The water gets a little low in the fall farther down stream past the lakes though it's less busy. We'll most likely go again some time in the future.
Don't know how I missed seeing this episode earlier. I hope the drone survived. Great tour of the farm. Looks like a beautiful spot. I do hope we see more of the Land Rover in the future. Congratulations on completing the project.
Greetings Michael, the drone somehow flew itself out of it's predicament, which is a good thing as it was a very tall tree. The old Rover is doing great and is already licensed for the road. Will no doubt feature in a few films sometime in the future.
Ditch those wheels! Get the right thing for your Rover.
Id pay to came on one of your trips aye. Jst sayin. Could see myself exorstead frm fkn crackin up
Yea guys, took me bout half an episode to click on to your content, been crackin up ever since. You work well 2getha, realy insink wit your styles. Keep doin what your doin. Big thanks from over the ditch m8.
Just found your channel and subscribed, thanks To Geoff and Seriously Series!👌 This was great fun! Now I will have to go back and watch the whole rebuild.👍 From the looks , it appears you are in the western Sierra foothills . I am 2 hours west of Yosemite N.P.. The current absorber of my free time is a 1966 S2A 88”. Perhaps we could meet up and compare notes. If you are interested to se my LR. It was shown on another RUclips channel. LandyAndy4X4, Castle Air Museum part 2, toward the end of the video. Cheers Lance
Greetings Lance. Good to hear from you. I think on our channel page we have an email address rather than chat on a public platform. It would be good to find out more on your project. We're not too far from you. I'll also have a look at your truck on the Landy Andy channel.
The only e-mail I could find does not seem to work. Oh well, I’ll try again another time.
foremanssecretsite@hotmail.com This is a top secret account so don't tell anybody.
@@ForemanAndWilmsAdventures Got it! You can delete .👍
Hummm, I’ve sent several e-mails that don’t appear to work. 🧐 Oh well. Cheers anyway 🍻
I have removed many of theses steering relays easily. All you need is vibration and lubrication from atf mixed with acetate Best penetrating oil 50 -50 mix leave for a day or so . Then get your air chisel or stationary chuck sds drill and a blunt chisel or drill shaft 10mm and hit the underside of the relay rust will rain down for a minute or to and the relay will jump out of it's hole . Never failed me yet . Vibration will move almost anything Phil Price
An intriguing suggestion, one that never crossed my mind but well worth a try if I find myself in a similar position. Thanks for the tip. The idea that came to me after the Woeful tale was to cut off the retaining tabs from the chassis so the relay could be rotated to crunch up the rust and gently 'hammered out', might be dreaming on that. Hopefully anyone reading these comments can add another option to the toolbox. Cheers Phil.
God's country
Thanks for letting me enjoy the trip we have to protect this or we will not have it
You are welcome, glad you enjoyed the film.
It's a true blessing to have this at the grasp
Would love to do that if I can get the chance
Great work foreman. How did you clean those housing ? Degreaser, gasoline, wirebrush and you talked of hot bath ? I want to clean mine 🙂
Greetings Kenny. Cleaning the housings is a long and tedious task. De greaser and gentle scraping was stage 1, followed by a largish plastic container filled with very hot water and some truck wash. Once I could get my hands in there with only minor scolding some scotch brite was used to scrub away at the grime. Wire brushes and scrapers, if deployed should be done carefully especially on mating faces. A rinse off at the end and your ready to start on the next one.
@@ForemanAndWilmsAdventures Thank you so much for explaining. I am now watching part 30 and I hope the parts keep going. Lovely videos. I hope to start restoring my 2a later in the year. Greetings from Kenya
Thankfully it’s easy to skip the first five minutes .
This is probably 3 months too late, I think the throttle cable outer should be fixed to the engine as any movement between body and engine will operate the throttle. This is one of the best restoration series I've watched be a shame when it ends👍
I wondered that myself when I installed that bracket. As of yet things seem to be working and if it changes I'll concoct another plan. Glad you like the show.
Part 2. Can he go through all 35 videos without a foot injury. We will see.
Well done for finally getting the Land Rover completed, its given me the the Inspiration to get on and restore my 1956 Series One Land Rover 88", using your videos for reference 🤔😁
wer did yu fiende parts? for it
John Craddock in the UK is the best resource. Dingo croft in the UK also. Rovers North in the USA have parts for series 2 vehicles but some can work for earlier stuff. Ebay has stuff as well though I rarely use it.
I'm both very pleased for you all and incredibly sad that there isn't going to be more of the build which has kept me vastly entertained over the last few years. I hope to see you again, off for new adventures in Grevison. Next week we're off for an adventure in our Land Rover 130 Ambulance called Katy so we'll have some fun ourselves
Glad you enjoyed Grevison's rebuild. Best of luck on your coming trip. Cheers.
Awesome video. A great inspiration for us women heading out in September for ten days on the river. Thankyou.
Excellent time of year to undertake that voyage. It can be a less crowded and not too hot. 10 days sets a relaxed pace as there's a lot of exploring off river to be done. Best of luck and have fun.
What a great video 👏👏👏 bravo !
Thank you! 😃
Um did the cat get pregnant?
Hi, mine makes the clicking sound when trying to unlock. You reckon its something electrical then? It clicks but nothing moves. You can move it a cm or so by hand tho. Any advice how and where to look and what to check?
When the actuators seize up they still make a clicking noise like they are attempting to work. If all actuators in the truck went out at the same time I'd suspect an electrical fault, but if it's just one here and there over time, I'd expect to be replacing the actuator.
@@ForemanAndWilmsAdventures alright thanks!🤙
Great job restoring the Land Rover the sort wheelbase is the best looking Land Rover you look your hard work and driving off road you are enjoying good for you 👌👍👍👍ps it looks great
Thanks 👍
Well done it’s been a great watch.
Thanks Alan.
Awsome series! I enjoyed every episode!
Thank you. Glad you liked the series. It was fun to make.
A tremendously beautiful end to a fantastic series. Thanks for sharing your experience in a great story.
Thanks Chops.
Even in higher water,,, the river can be thrilling run,, been down it several times ,, all times of the year!
Amazing, well done!
Thanks a lot!
My old Series 2a is a complete wreck. I will be a very lucky man, if I could manage it half as good as you did. Well done Sir!
I think those series 2A's are good trucks, it might be well worth having a go at reviving it. Good fortune to you if you do.
@@ForemanAndWilmsAdventures| Allready bought a new chassis. So I will do it.....and if it´s the last thing I´ll ever do. Regards from Bavaria...
A LR Series in its natural habitat! Great camera work and scenery. Thoroughly enjoyed the video series.
Glad you enjoyed it!
THANKS GAV & CO.
You're welcome.
Felicitaciones desde Argentina!!!!!! 🇦🇷🇦🇷🇦🇷🇦🇷🇦🇷🇦🇷💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Gracias!
Love the introduction footage and the tour around the farm. As you know, not a LR guy but you workmanship and problem solving talents are educational and entertaining not to mention your filmatography.
Hey there Doron. Good to hear from you. What I do suspect there is a Land Rover guy lurking just under your skin waiting to show himself. Hows your travels been?
I laughed, I cried, but felt pride at the end. Well done 👍
Thank you!
Surely a sailboat is next
We do have an old wooden speed boat we acquired many moons ago that might start getting more attention. One day we hope to tackle America's Great Loop so hopefully a boat of some description is on the horizon.
Great work. I have watched all of this build and you did well. Kept it interesting. Nice work
Thank you and great job hanging in there for the whole journey. It was a long one.
@@ForemanAndWilmsAdventures I did enjoy it. You have talent in presenting it.
Good Job Gav, with Qube at the CEF in freo, back in the day. Good work mate, keep it up. I must do the Holland Track again...
Your code name hides your identity. I enjoyed working at the port in the trucks, don't know how everyone put up with my crap, especially all the rubbish I'd spit out over the 2 way. I quit miss Freo. Wilms and myself went back there for a few nights on our last visit back. The Holland track is a good one though it seems to be pretty busy nowadays.

Mate I’ve been watching your showmanship for a long time now. I also love to hate duoff duoff. Great to see you sending this!
Glad you like the films. We'll have to do a duoff duoff duo for tik tok some time. Horrify the world.
Beautiful episode, awesome series and effort for all our enjoyment, and my best workshop manual as I tend to my own YYB129 series 1 - that’s a Taunton Somerset registration. I love dipping into the earlier episodes for tips, and the hilarious dead ends. Awesome, simply awesome. Thank you.
Your welcome. Glad the films help a bit. I even use them myself on the odd occasion.
Fantastic looking and sounding Land-Rover, beautiful countryside and a superbly crafted film. Well done. You have every right to be as proud and content as you look!
Many thanks! I'm very happy how the little truck turned out.
It all makes sense. You dress just like Michael Thys from the gods must be crazy.
Congratulations on getting the Landy going and it performed very well. Good to see Wilms got into the video as well.
Greetings Deane. Wilms is a busy lass but I managed to steal her away for a quick guest appearance.
How fantastic is that!! I'd have to say that was the best LR videography I have ever enjoyed. To think that was your 'test run' was to see a man confident in his chariot. It looks like the Motor Transport Inspector (Cricket) has given his approval in addition to that of Mrs Grevison. The journey continues, Mr Grevison.
The chariot turned out better than I hoped. It's already hard and work and filthy though it did get a bit of a wash today.
Don’t you mean crisps.
I did indeed. Although I'm fluent in American speak my accent betrays my origins so I felt it more natural to revert back to the gabble of my homeland. Where chips are either crisps or fries, leaving the listener to wonder which might be which.
